D'Avolio Culinary Institute provides a wide selection of academic offerings. We have something for everyone, young and old, new and returning students.
Each program offers a 10 to 1 student to teacher ratio, unless otherwise noted, to allow for individualized attention for each student.
Students are not required to take general studies courses; all math and reading skills are directly related to culinary arts.
This program is designed for the adult learner whose goal is to work as a cook or future chef in a restaurant, college/university, or high end food service setting.
Students should be a self-starter and able to communicate effectively with others.
Students are creating fine dining food from scratch
This program is designed for the disabled adult learner whose goal is to work in an entry level food service position and be an active member of a team environment.
Students may be eligible for a short term job coach to aid with acclimation into paid employment. They must have basic reading and math skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
This program focuses on presentation and developing flavors in soups, sandwiches and salads; all made from scratch.
This program option is a great addition to our other program offerings; introducing the basic techniques of baking, developed to feature local, seasonal products.
You will have the ability to learn how you can supplement your income by creating and selling desserts from home.
This program will run on Saturdays only from 9 am to 2 pm for a period of 10 weeks.
