Dan Gagliardo

 

CEO and Owner

 

Owner of D'Avolio Olive Oils, Vinegars and More, Five West Enterprises,  D'Avolio Culinary Institute, and Dilettos Chocolate

 

Dan and his management team are dedicated to making positive changes in the community.  Dan is an active board member with Independent Health and partnered together with D'Avolio they offers healthy options cooking classes to the public.  Additonally, the D'Avolio family provides meals two to three times per week to the homeless through Restoration Society and host a yearly fundraiser for this great organization.  Dan has been instrumental in partnering with St. Mary School for the Deaf to offer employment related skills to students throughout his various companies.

Graduated from SUNY College at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY with a Master of Science degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration.

 

Graduated from Canisius College, Buffalo, NY with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.

 

A native of Syracuse, NY, Jeffrey has held several positions in Higher Education in both Central and Western New York. He has severed in both Community College and 4-Year institutional settings (both public and private).  In addition to his experience on several institutional committees and initiatives; Jeffrey has been assisting students achieve their own success for over 10 years.  “Each student has their own unique pathway to success and I love assisting our students in navigating those pathways.”

 

Currently, Jeffrey serves as the Chair of the Board of Animal Adventures of Western New York, Inc, a local wildlife education organization.  He maintains active membership with the College Student Personnel Association, American College Personnel Association, WNY Association of College Career Centers, and the Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals.  Jeffrey maintains regular attendance to national and regional conferences pertaining to cutting-edge and best practices in student services and development.

Over 5 years working with at-risk youth and adults at Buffalo Adult Education and culinary internship and job placement at Professional Culinary Academy, to help students achieve credentials to advance their professional careers.  Previous experience includes Assistant Manager and Customer Service Trainer at Wilson Farms; managing all daily aspects including hiring and firing of staff.  

 

Recently, Sadie, has taken on the responsibilities of management of sales and activity with Dilettos Chocolate and sits on the Board of Directors as Secretary of Animal Adventures of Western New York.

 

D'Avolio Culinary is always looking to partner with local food service establishments who are willing to help students hone their culinary skills, though both student internship and employment opportunities.
