D'Avolio Culinary Institute is a post-secondary culinary training program licensed by the New York State Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS), a division of the New York State Education Department. Our staff has actively worked in the culinary field and are sensitive to students with life challenges and disabilities.
We offer at least a 10 to 1, student to teacher ratio. This is ideal for an adult learner who finds traditional education difficult; our approach is a hands-on, visual experience. There are no requirements for general studies classes, all math and language skills are directly related to the skills necessary to be successful in the culinary arts world.
We are located on the beautiful campus of St. Mary School for the Deaf located at 2253 Main Street in Buffalo, NY; conveniently a short distance from the 33, two NFTA metro stops and the Humboldt-Hospital train station.
We have partnered with D'Avolio Oils and Vinegar to offer unique, healthy olive oil and vinegar options. This opportunity offers the potential for students to gain culinary experience, in this locally owned and operated business. D'Avolio has launched two cafes and has more opening on the horizon!
